What is the most effective way to play, when I have to defend my capital straight from turn 2? Any tips are welcome.

Figure out who does it and don't let them join your games again

Stack your capital.
Most of the players who WF you in turn 1 are low ranks and doesn't know how to play this game properly. You can also consider learning how to serbia wall and/or rewall and use this against them.

Something else to keep in mind is that in most games losing your cap for one turn doesn't really matter, if you got wfed turn 1 then the other person probably didnt expand much and rushed your cap, use that to your advantage, make sure he can't wall your cap, but you should have more troops than him, send troops to recap in a turn or two, depending on the victory conditions, and send some to his cap since, like I said, he probably full rushed you and it should be easy capping him

First: Should you think it may happen, build a ring around the city you want to defend, thereby making the wf useless (unit consuming agreed),
Second: Don't play with noobs.

Second: Don't play with noobs.
I'd love to, except that I can't.
Early afternoon (Beijing time), there are so few players that not playing with noobs means not playing at all (which I have no intention of doing), or playing 3v3s (which I also have no intention of doing).
