Petition against RP

Afterwind/atWar was always a game for autists and serbs but after they implemented custom maps and the whole RP stuff came up is where it really went to shit tbh.

Base the whole game around duels and team games and concentrate all effort on implementing more competitive features is where it's at.
The default map for rated games has to be EU+ and every new map has to be judged solely on its usefulness as a competitive playground, in particular its balance, before it might even be considered playable.
At the moment the whole rating system is flawed and random noobs make up the top ranks, because they pick equally random maps to beat people who are inexperienced there.
This whole game is a fucking mess and I blame mainly custom maps for it. We were on a good way when Elo was implemented but look at the rating list and tell me who the fuck those people are in the top ranks.

This game is beyond all hope I'm serious. I'm just glad the map editor doesn't work properly so I get at least some kind of satisfaction out of all the idiots who are responsible for this mess suffering.

I don't think RP should be banned, it is a good idea the only problem is the fact that nobody actually RolePlays, what I think should help in changing this would be to add RP as a category of maps alongside modern world, ancient world, medieval, fantasy etc. and also making it so you can ban people from certain types of maps or only some of your maps for not actually playing the game as intended. I agree that RP right now is quite bad but I think changing it is a better option than banning it.

Hey, you aren't being fair to map makers. When UN first started most of us wanted it to be categorize as SP farming, but all the competitive players that were mods back then didn't wanted to get their hands dirty. When RP was created many players advocated to get it Ban, but once again the competitive mods decided that it was a good idea to allow RP to exist. In late 2014 a system that reduced the SP of custom maps was implemented, but once again the competitive mods refused to lower RP SP to 0.

Custom maps should give 0% Sp unless approved.

I fail to understand why players who don't play RP want it gone from at war. I started playing during the golden RP era of at war, when there were at least 3 maps up at almost all times, but I honestly can't say it made me worse on my skill level. (r7s 1v1?)
If RP gets somehow banned, it's just gonna be you 10-20 sadf**ks playin eu+ all day and I doubt any of you is the kind of player that's gonna help a newbie learn anything from you.Do you honestly want the community dead? Cause that's one step closer to killing it. I'm just saying.
At war is a GAME. GAMES are meant to be fun.

Well, if we ignore the sake of the community and the inequality of the hardwork that normal players need to do to gain sp compared to rp players you still have to think about your own players.

RP players can't play anything that is not rp, They are reaching high ranks and still are losing to low ranks outside of RP. therefore they stay there forever and only play against low ranks in packs in easy scenarios with high defence walls or game of thrones "haha i betrayed you moron" concepts. therefore they devided the community into 2 annd prevent half of the new players to explore the game and help the community grow.

They play twisted game. no strategy (litterly no relevant strategy all units are "other"). no risk (9999 defence walls). no tactics (9999 attack nukes) and at coward way of playing (packs, picking on low ranks and betrayals). they are completely irrelevant to atwar and only make damage.

What are you talking about, I beat players outside of RP all the time, I even have a decent elo too. I never played an RP with these 9999 defense and attack units.
