I feel like there's no need for introductions here, it's been awaited for so long (thanks for being patient), so let's get to it, starting with the player's choice:

The number of votes between clovis and hdrakon were quite close. Hdrakon actually had more players vote for him as their 1st choice than clovis, however clovis was way more chosen as 2nd and 3rd picks. And that's how the alternative vote works, it choses the candidate that pleases the most people. Laochra follows right after hdrakon, with a not so big gap either. Nice to see that no candidate was over voted and a healthy competition existed.
If you didn't know how the alternative vote works, here's a video that explains it in a funny way :p
I hadn't seen this video until after putting out the voting poll, perhaps next time people will be allowed to rank how-ever many candidates they want (not being restricted with 3). After using the system, I think that would be better as well.
Moving on to the mods choice:

In the mods choice, hdrakon was 1 vote away from clovis (after having applied the alternative vote). B0nker2 wins the 3rd place instead of laochra in the mod's choice, however the gap between hdrakon and b0nker2 is double the gap between clovis and hdrakon.
Well that was it, thanks for voting and congratulations to clovis112 for winning both the player's choice and the mod's choice for player of the year 2014. Also congratulations to hdrakon as he wasn't too far away from clovis in both player's and mod's choice.

PS If anyone wants to see the results and the alternative vote process, I can prepare a thread for that as well, but as it would take long time, I just posted the results for now.

How you conclude this game created a life for some people? Maybe it helped you to build a virtual world, but that doesn't mean that this is the case with the rest of the people who pass some of their free time here. My state of mind is very healthy, unlike yours. I'm happy to know that you're upset.

lets see, tb guide, hosted tourneys and pushed for the strat changes. I was also the reason that all those cw system changes were brought in since i mailed Ivan , described the issues and then directed him towards all the ideas people were posting. Theres probably more, i do a lot behind the scenes that i dont broadcast and its over a year ago so i dont really remember and i dont particularly care. i didnt pay attention to what other people did for the community but hdrakons contributions to the community in his time here probably amount to the number of useless negative comments youve made on this forum(a very large number). What have you done for the community that you spend so much time playing in commando? or klevis? All i see is trashtalk, bitching and flamewars. Feel free to enlighten us to your other contributions. Whatever they may be, kindly do not fill threads with critical comments towards those players who do actually add something of worth during their time here.

Where to start? Ok from beggining, tb guide ok thanks for telling us % of chances on how to tb (just theory), hosted tournaments. hmm how many? 1? 2? 0? Croat hosted more than you . So another contribuition of yours was giving Ivan links of other peoples ideas? Jeez thats the best one ever. What else? Oh you do contribution behind the scene which you dont remember. Now that should have gave you #1 spot instead of clovis. Here is the best part : but hdrakons contributions to the community in his time here probably amount to the number of useless negative comments youve made on this forum(a very large number). That contribution of hdrakon really deserved #2, actually im wondering if it was a better contribution than yours! Am i obligated to do something for this community? Is it against rules if i dont do anything for community? OFC i have done stuff for community but that doesnt matter because thats between me and the players i helped and i dont really need recognition for that or a "price". Like you said i spend time playing not trying to show off with what i did or i do. Thats my opinion that you and hdrakon didnt do anything and like i said the votings were made based on friendship cuz ,and i say again, you and hdrakon didnt do anything for this community, maybe you lao did those tournys so that kinda gives you the upper hand over hdrakon, but hdrakon? come on really lol

I know what I have done for this community over the years, I don't need to brag with it and tell you and others like you what I did. I helped this community and game in many ways without expecting to receive any recognition or anything else for that matter for what I'm doing. My intentions was and still is to help this game flourish. BTW I'm glad it makes you somewhat unhappy that we're listed there, it seems like this is very meaningful for you.

Well I have some questions in regards of PotY: 1) Why did 3 players won the Staff's choice? In the past, it was just 1... what did we miss here? 2) I've won both awards, but I only have Staff one. Will I get the community one too? Thanks for the answer.

Yea, really sadly  Enough to take a look who started with provoking comment.... Still, I dont think that was a reason for discontinuing PoTM/S/Y, but something else that is called mod inactivity and lazyness
