Is it possible to make an option that lets you make a game where you only start with units? For example, each player starts with their general(if premium) and 10 tanks/10 infantry. Before the game starts, let all the players pick the position they want on the map, and this lets the players that pick after the first people see where everyone has picked, then pick where they want. Like a normal game, but without countries to start. Create Game -> Only units at the start When creating a game, have an option under the "Basic" panel that has a drop down menu that has options on the starting units. For example, 10, 20, 30, 50. This option should be under the starting funds option. When the game begins, all players select their starting positions on the map with their units. To make it so that some strategies are not under powered(like SM starting with tanks) would be to have different strategies start with different units. Say, Master of Stealth: 10 Marines and 10 Infantry Naval Commander: 20 Destroyers - Can only choose position in water Relentless Attack(aka TG): 10 Tanks and 10 Infantry Sky Menace: 10 Bombers and 10 Infantry When the game starts on turn 1, and I have picked a position near Serbia. I can attack around 9 different country capitals on the first turn. Using turn priority, the first neutral country I attack will become my capital city and country. If the first attack fails, then the 2nd city I have attacked becomes my capital, and so on. Example: My first move is attacking Belgrade, second move Vienna, and third Sofia. If I'm successful in taking Belgrade, it becomes my capital. But if I fail, but succeed in Vienna, it comes my capital. Again, if all of my attacks succeed, my first move will be my capital. Obviously if all my units die first move, I lose. It's just an idea I thought would be funny and interesting to see people start with only units

Great idea, I support. Will put a whole new view for smaller maps. Another idea would be to get rid of the starting cash all together, would be great. Or just lessen the amounts of starting cash options since you don't need to buy countries in this option.

Technically this already works under scenarios but you get silverlight exception every turn without the "home country" business. (True story from personal experience) But yeah, I support this for large maps and not small ones.

This is a great idea, definitely support. However, I don't think we should have set units that we have to use. You could have something like 3k starting cash and 30 units, and you could build whatever you want.

Support, but I foresee a swift deflection of the idea by the atwar god of negativity, Ivan.
