Make italy have a coastal capital

It's been brought up before, but it really needs to be implemented. It's annoying for occupying it and the country is useless without this - It would make italy better and make europe have more naval warfare in the southern parts. Italy is mostly naval but has almost no decent reinforcements in those cities, it needs rome to be coastal so it can provide defense for those cities - those 8 destroyers will really help defense wise for italy.

Doesn't have to be coastal either, y'know. London isn't coastal, but it's on a river and not too far inland. Rome on the other hand, isn't on a river, and is 20 km inland (the centre).

But in reality Athens IS very much connected to Piraeus not only via major roads but also urban areas, hence why Piraeus is not so much a city on its own now like it was 50 years ago or something. It really is a part of Athens. That's all. Kudos to Amok for making Athens a coastal city.

No, it isn't in any way, there are suburbs of both cities in between, Piraeus is 3rd biggest AND SEPERATE municipality, they have no connection to Athens. I said members of parliament, not mayors, that's why they are special. If anything, in the game there should be 2 cities, Athens and Piraeus that is a port. Athens wasn't and never will be a port, for the same historical reasons Rome isn't a port. Don't speak of a country that you don't reside in and places you've hardly ever been.

Rome shouldn't be coastal, there's 25 km of solid land before its city centre. Athens is a different matter: while not on a river, it is surrounded on both sides by sea, and its suburbs touch Piraeus. The distance between Athens' city centre (according to Google Maps - don't give me any bullshit about Google Maps being wrong, Aristo, you don't have a state-of-the-art GPS to disprove Google) is a mere 5 km from the closest water. So yes, it qualifies to be a coastal city.
