Before you go on blah-ing at me that it's ruining tactics, etc., note that they didn't remove it entirely.. Meaning You can still turnblock large stacks with a smaller army, it just has to be a reasonable amount. Where exactly does this not make sense?

As for not walking through units, yet again, this is preventing unrealistic and exploited tactics that had become commonplace. You can still build defensive lines, you can still defend yourself, but you can't just go ahead and have your invincible bomber unit fly through and nail opponents in the ass, or do one of the cheap ass 1-shot captures in most cases.

It's the fact that units are unstoppable now, there is no way to slow them down if they're big enough. Meaning good, skilled players cannot do 1 vs 3's anymore because the "noobs" can just out spam him.

Though you could of just read all the other threads instead of making a new one, there's LOTS of arguments, and answers to your question.

I haven't checked out the update in-game yet, and it would probably be wise of me to test this first, but the update appears to make sense from what the news article said.

I made a thread in General discussion about SM and No-TB, go read it if you don't feel like testing for yourself

If a skilled player gets to the point where they don't even have HALF of the army as their opponent fit into one stack, and they can't raise an army to half of the size of that one stack, they had more then definitely been outmaneuvered up to that point.

Or a troll had joined next to them, but in that case there wasn't much a chance for them anyways.

Walls, try to using them as they're supposed to be used, not only around cities.

Here's a quote from the top of the Ideas and Suggestions board, written by none other than Ivan:
Citiraj:
[...] keep in mind the scale of the game (1 unit = small army, not a single tank) [...]

I agree that the game is unrealistic though, and we shouldn't be able to walk through units. I have never seen this exploit Ivan speaks of either.

To put it simply as far as "realism" goes:

When a small army is attacked, no matter how guerrilla and such, by a force well over twice their size, it rarely, if ever, takes a week or more for that battle to take place.

For example, the United States army in the middle east. When a full sized corps (20,000-30,000) moves into an area, if there's terrorist presence, that's too damn bad for the terrorists. The US Military demolishes the shit out of them in a few hours tops, and doesn't even take any more than one or two casualties in most cases.
