War films - Your suggestions

I watched plenty of war films, but if you enjoyed watching some too, please tell me the name of films so I can watch them.
Something on the theme of WWI, WWII, Balkan War, Croatian Independence War, Vietnam War, American Civil War, or any other one, just let it be real war theme, not some SF with imaginary swords and electric powers.




PS. And also, dont say Saving Private Ryan cuz I watched it at least 6 times.

He meant Croatian Terrorist Insurgency in Yugoslavia.

Serbia have good war movies, movie studios leftover from Yugoslavia, probably second best after Hollywood.









This last movie main character reminds me of Croat, he spout propaganda and drive people crazy in war.

Film 'Lepa sela, lepo gore' I watched twice, it is now (these days) being brodcasted on HRT (Croatian Radio-Television), I dont know exactly when.

Personally I absolutely loved it, the parts where he is in Iraq are done very well and the parts when he's back home are great too, they really show how bad war fucks some people up, my mom works as a nurse and one of Chris Kyle's friends who served with him came in for surgery and they were talking, he said Bradley Cooper's depiction of Kyle was spot on

There was this movie about the american civil war 1861-1865 it was cool and everything but the south soldiers were like zombies or vampires i cant remember and the north ( the union) had to make silver bullets to be able to kill them . Very decent movie but involves a little fantasy like you said...

Downfall. It's the best war movie ever... and it's 99% people talking to each other and 1% guns going pew-pew.

I still have no idea how the director pulled that off.

American Civil War: Gods and General (It's a very good and inspiring movie, I suggest you to watch it
