Huston, we have a problem

3 times today servers were down..

I was here 2 times, one was at 8:30 pm (GMT+1) and they weren't working for hours, another one which I testified was at 2:30 am (GMT+1) and they didnt work for 13 minutes.

I mean I never complain about technical things, I know Admins are in huge work and much shit happens here and has to be done, but this is intolerably. You and me are calling new players to the game, especially in last month, we are advertising atWar everywhere (respect for Sun Tzu for all the work he has done in that area, really loyal, trustable and steadfast person ) , but these everydays (yes, literally said) server crushes won't affect good neither to old, neither to new players. I bet nobody new and unexperienced here will stay on game which forces them out and whose servers are down every few hours.
It may look offensive, but I am telling this in positive and encouraging way to admins to fix the server issues, all we want is to play this fluently, not waiting server to comeback for tens of minutes each game..

I agree, that's too much. I hope admins can solve this problem, because aw is really good game, new players like it, but most of them give up just because of bad servers.

Nice job trying to shit on servers especially after you congratulate sun tzu for his job of publishing aw and bringing in new players. The same new players who are gonna go in forums and see on GENERAL forum thread such as these.

If you want to be a hand to admins since you acknowledge they have a hard job, go ahead and donate every month some of your own personal money and lets get better servers.
Youre not the only one who experienced server issues, but if you wont help it resolve, at least dont cry like a girl in forums every time servers go down for 20 minutes

I suspect Ivan and Amok just lost interest in making the game grow and are just happy with the game running its course (dying).. Because they aren't making the money from it they would like... But its like zuckerburgs character said in the social network...

I understand the concern but sometimes you have to do unpleasant thing to make things move forward.

Laochra said himself in threads about strategies that new players don't read forums much... But ALL new players experience servers crashing frequently... Commando talks about raising money.. No.. The game should support itself outside of the current user base.. It should gain revenues from new players... And that wont happen if they lose interest because the servers crash.

Edit: CROAT IS RIGHT FOR ONCE.. Mailing admins will do nothing unless we can motivate them to realise that there is a problem and not that it is 1 individuals concern... Other things that make me suspect they have given up aiding the games growth include how slow the map maker has taken to be introduced... And the fact they haven't bothered to implement this new tournament "engine" without a basic registry system.. They seem to think this game is a chore to maintain. When they should be seeing it as something that has potential to grow exponentially.

Amok should really be looking for help to code the site.. Maybe take an intern doing a degree in computer science.. Or find angel investors who can point them in a direction of growth.. There are websites where you can easily get in touch with these guys and I don't see why AW wouldn't interest one of them.. With the right brand and with dome further development this game could be so much bigger than it already is... But right now the fucking servers are in the way

The reason is obvious.. The servers are junk.

Why are they junk? Because no money is being invested into the game.

Why is no money being invested into the game? Because the guys who made it don't see it as a worthy investment

Because they're losing patience/ faith in the games capacity to grow..

I don't blame them, if I made a site that took 5 years to get to where it is now.. Having not reached critical mass, I'd be annoyed too.

You've made the big mistake to think that I didn't mailed them. Furthermore, I had also spoke with Meester and other mods about the issue. I only decide to start the thread after getting told to bring the community perspective on it.

Sadly for you, I've always been consistent with my words and actions. I can't reclaim to other people what I don't do by myself.

I would never "blindly" believe in people. When I say that they are doing their best for the situation, I really mean it.

if you don't want to PM them about the issue, then just be pending to the Skype chat or ask Sun Tzu about it. Sometimes he speaks about admin's plans which include what we think they had never though to do. You'll be impressed.

I'm not saying they don't try, but I think the fun has been removed from the process for them, which means they cant focus on improving the games experience.

They realised they had a problem with marketing so they asked for suns expertise.. And he is a marketing guy.

They have some teething problems with coding and servers so it makes sense to get a computer scientist on board... Or even better someone that has experience making this kind of business grow who is willing to give them money to do so.

We can't just hide everything bad with the game. If noobs see us only posting good stuff about the game, they won't understand that the servers have issues sometimes.

Guys, the admins suspect the server was under DDoS attack, and both of them were on yesterday investigating. Have patience, and they will sort it out.

Croat stop complaining about the game. This game is your life. Unless you want to invest your own money on better servers then be our guest. Otherwise keep your mouth shut.

The fact you needed to change a task about forums for begginers tells enough about their understanding of how atWar forums work. Firstly they needed to comment something on any thread, comments were like: 'aofangpkarmvrjfewcwgrg'.
Now you seriously think they are sacrificially reading each of these 10 threads they need to visit to earn 5PCs?

Whatsmore, it's general discussion forum, a place for discussing mostly about problems/issues/changes in technics and gameplay of certain game. No, it's not made so half of community don't see a problem, it's made so everyone are introduced in it and everyone can equally contribute with their suggestions or solutions. Stop even mentioning an 'argument' like: 'Begginers will see this in forum OMG what now' , like Croat is guilty for server issues

There was a problem yesterday with the network at the data-centre where our servers are hosted. It should have been resolved by now.
