Imo 5, make asia like some big scaled europe where you have wealthy places along high reinf countries just with big distances, anyhow it cant be kept in 1, you cant even pick in with 10k fundings

Furthermore, I consider that NWE must be destroyed

I think you've taken the question a bit too literal. This is purely a balancing factor, no one is hating on India

I like the idea. But currently India possesses much lower income than it's neighbouring regions. It would not be viable to just split it. If it has to be split up, it would be better to increase the income of all the regions in that area.
Also, which ones would have infantry and which ones militia?

I've never felt as though India presented a problem to games I've played.

Being India isn't necessarily easy. You're dead-center and in most games will sooner or later be fighting a united Asia or united Europe. India is more or less a prize in many games, rather than a final-act player. They're not overpowered in any way.

My biggest concern with this, which is not one that I've seen discussed here, is how such a change would impact player distribution. Let's face it, most players start either smack in the middle of Europe (UK, France, Germany) or on the far end of Asia (China or Japan.) And of course in the US if it's a world map. India presents an option that isn't within these regions and has the capacity to be viable for the long haul if played well. Cutting India apart will just mean one more player crowding up in Europe and a weak middle-world ready to be gobbled up by the East or West - whoever deals with their competition first.

This wouldn't be an issue in 10k games. But it would be an issue in higher-start games. And given that splitting India would offer very little benefit for this cost, I have to disagree with splitting it.

China vs India 1v1 alone is already a near fair matchup in 50k as long as China plays turtle and waits til India rans out of dough.. Not so sure if that's still possible had India been split up..

India should have been cut a while ago. Nifty's 5 is good, might just need income and reinf balancing for world map.

The point is that India itself is not that big compared to the other splitted countries, so it should be divided in less than 5 parts considering that same trend (2-3 regions probably would be "mathematically" fair).

Have you even considered on what basis should countries be splitted? For now, they've splitted only based on countries' area (only the top 6 widest countries have been splitted and India is the top 7th by a large gap, being way closer to the 8th than to the 6th). Eventhough this is a fact, they might have also considered other variables, like economical strength, in order to decide the exact amount of regions per country or else USA should have had as many regions as China does.

If you were to apply a different approach on India, you'd be creating an unprecedented case, potentially changing the map's logic, in which case you'd also have to apply the same basis on every single other country in the map or you could unbalance the entire region.
