I too will apply, some sort of end date would be nice as well. Can we have collabs or is this just a one person sort of thing?

I'm in, but like helly said I'm gonna need a date to see if my map can be finished by then
The most likely will be till the start of May, so basically just over a month. I am still finalizing this though.

Press the quote button on my message to reply. Anywho, yeah any map type is allowed, but just as the rules state: Making a scenario is fine, but will not garner you extra points.

Anyone of you mapmakers working with the old Silverlight editor, and having trouble connecting with Internet Explorer, because of the ddos protection? Is this always the case? Do we need to wait until the ddos protections are off to be able to edit our maps?

Another question for you guys: what if I modify a map for which there is an active (casual) game?
I want to know if I can make some changes without buggin the map and ruin the experience of all those nice players that voluntarily decided to help me test the map... without waiting like 50 turns of 48 hours before fixing issues. (I'm using the Silverlight editor.)
You know, not major game changing fixes, but something like oops, that city was supposed to be a port, that city should reinforce 4 instead of 2, etc ...
Back in the days, I know i did that already, and sometimes it worked, sometimes it crashed the game, but either I forgot, or never managed to understand which fixes worked and which crashed the game; I was just curious if some of you knew
Thanks
PS: My gut feeling tells me that border changes are a no-no... but the rest is fine
Edit: Nevermind, I guess I got up lazy (or still drunk). I can start a private game myself and test.
Edit 2: ... with another map, obviously, if not, I'll ruin both my private game and everyone's game ... god, I must still be drunk

In about a week I will stop accepting applicants, so if you are wanting to enter please comment now.
I suggest you leave applications open; just put a deadline (and specific rules) for map submission and evaluation criteria and process.
Take your time; haste is waste.

Anyone else having trouble with starting a scenario made in the Silverlight editor? I get the following:

Maybe I am not patient enough … how long does it take for a map / scenario from the SL editor to be available?

As I understand, it doesn't become available until an admin reloads maps. There's no set schedule, we just do it when someone asks. I went ahead and did it now, so give it a try.
Thank you, it's working perfectly now
I was testing an old bug that apparently is still there: ground commander units (made in the SL editor at least) giving bonuses to air units. I filed a bug report for that here https://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=41242#m692673.
